If you think that's bad, imagine if it is the Government that doesn't like your opinion.
Three of four years ago in Italy, a television programme was banned by Silvio Berlusconi's government. Respected individuals lost their jobs and people were sued for millions of Euros by Berlusconi's various business interests, all because they didn't like the opinions expressed in that programme. The plaintiffs all lost their cases and various people got their jobs back (following a change of government), but the damage was done.
Sabina Guzzanti made an excellent documentary film about the affair entitled Viva Zapatero. Rory Bremner and Dario Fo among other satirists make constructive appearances. It's available on DVD with English subtitles if anyone is interested in seeing how aggressively individuals will seek to curtail others' freedom of speech in order to protect their right to deceive.

Wow, scary thought. If you have a popular blog and can be identified you can be censored for having an opinion? What happened to freedom of speech?
