The risks somehow diminish when you (and your potential aggressors) know you have a large organization to back you up if things go wrong.

Risk is always higher for freelancers (where was the international outrage when &lt;a href=&quot;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zahra_Kazemi&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;Zahra Kazemi &lt;/a&gt; was tortured and murdered?) but danger increase as they gain influence.

The incentive to silence them increases steeply while the disincentive to do so (ie, retaliatory measures) remain constant. Simply economics.</description>
