Thanx for a very interesting posting. It seems to support my pov. on the shifts going on in the media industry. As you may see on my blog I'm also concerned with the business models for "new media approaches"
I don’t believe that journalism nor will features of “deep digging news” see the last days, at all. I believe that the future is bright, maybe even better than the last years have sown for the profession. At the same time I see how the transformation will change a lot, and that the industry will have to go thru some, maybe rough changes and that, for some people, it may be a hard time, till we see better how it looks like on the other side of the tunnel.
What I except is that the hardest shift will be, not in the journalism, but rather in the business aspects of the media industry. As it seems both owners of news organizations, advertising agencies and buyers of advertisement are those groups that seems to be in biggest confusion of what to do.
