[...] Living Stories: NYT and Google produce jaw-dropping online journalism form Breaking with good list form and putting the best first: this really blew my socks off, and this is from a gal who reads a dozen articles a day about the future of news. But this IS “jaw-dropping,” as the article headline states. In the midst of all the conferences about the future of newspapers, the future of journalism, and government bailouts for newspapers, finally someone has actually taken a look at how users consume news and created a form based on how we seek and process information–and that “someone” is Google. Plus the New York Times. Plus the Washington Post. Rock on. Get on with your own bad self. [...]

I hate it and love and bow down before it at the same time. This sort of advanced story curation is what news sites have been crying out for.

This takes content into areas the web excels at: utilising the non-linear nature of web pages, taking you to what you want when you want it without having to wade through content you've already seen.

To think all the hours I've spent copying and pasting headlines, URLs, arranging and making links, and listing content when a tool like this would have done all the hard work.
