[...] What’s a Facebook fan worth to a business? It’s a little hard to generalize because every business is different, but Hitwise made an attempt.
Ah - missed that warning. Anyway, better delivered when actually nearing, or just passing 100.

A couple of quick notes:
1. Facebook does warn you when creating a Page that you won't be able to change it after more than 100 likes :)
2. The only solution to exporting notes I am aware of is through RSS. You can pull the feed of a specific Page via RSS.

I'm not aware of how you can export notes. Amusingly, this Facebook 'help' page on the subject of "importing and exporting" notes only mentions the word export in the headline - http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=818

Some better answers here: http://www.linkedin.com/answers/technology/web-development/TCH_WDD/204170-8264916

But still, no easy solutions - help welcomed...

Paul, I'm curious - can you export your notes from Facebook and take them with you to a new system or is all the content locked in?

The point you make about being subjected to Facebook's changes worries me. If Wordpress makes a change you simply cannot abide by or live with - you can move.

If you invest a lot of time and effort into your content and can't move it around freely that has got to be a massive sticking point. (Even if you can export posts - you won't be able to take direct wall posts / status updates I expect?)
