The Online Journalism Blog publishes comment and analysis on developments in online journalism and online news, citizen journalism, blogging, vlogging, photoblogging, podcasts, interactive storytelling, publishing, Computer Assisted Reporting, User Generated Content, searching, online communities, mobile phone journalism, social media and all things internet.

Where?

There is an Online Journalism Blog Facebook Group containing discussion forums and other tools.

Who?

The blog is published by Paul Bradshaw (UK) and written by Paul, Malcolm Coles (UK), Karthika Muthukumaraswamy (US), Paul Canning (UK), Steen Steensen (Norway), Alex Lockwood (UK), Nicolas Kayser-Bril (UK and France), Alex Gamela (Portugal), Nico Luchsinger (Switzerland), Wilbert Baan (Netherlands), Sothisischristmas (UK), Pramit Singh (India), and Dorien Aerts (Belgium), as well as a team of ‘virtual interns‘. We’re always looking for contributors, so if you want to join the team let us know.

Paul BradshawPaul Bradshaw is Course Director of the MA Online Journalism at Birmingham City University’s (UK) School of Media, his background is in magazine editing and editorial website management. He has contributed to several books about the internet and journalism, and is currently writing a book on online journalism. This explanation of how he uses this blog and other social media is spot on.

Paul is also the founder of Help Me Investigate – a platform for crowdsourcing investigative journalism – and he works as a consultant with a number of media organisations. If you are doing something interesting, and would like him to be involved, let him know.

The OJB logo was designed by Adam Stewart, at the time a first year student on the BA (Hons) Media and Communication (Web and New Media).
